Cannes Young Lions is a 24-hour, end-to-end creative sprint where Copy/Art duos across Canada tackle the same brief for a chance at the top spot — and a shot at representing the country in Cannes. Open to creatives under 30, it’s an intense test of insight, craft, and collaboration.

For the 2024 Cannes Young Lions competition, my partner Abigail Dennehy (Art) and I created Eat Your Garbage. Save the Planet. — a 24-hour campaign concept for Second Harvest. I led the copy, shaping the insight, messaging, and submission write-up while collaborating on the concept and execution. The full board is shown below.

This print ad reframes beauty-industry “anti-aging” language to highlight something we rarely think about until it’s too late: cognitive health. By using the visual and tonal cues of skincare advertising, the concept draws people in, then redirects the message toward brain health and the small lifestyle changes that protect it.
