Earnest Hemingway said “Easy writing makes for difficult reading.” My point is while we all use language, it takes skill to wield it. That’s where writers come in. That’s where I come in.

Sure, anyone with an iPhone can take a picture, but would you hire them to capture your wedding? Maybe if they’re your in-law’s nephew who went to art school and “is really into it.” But most likely, you’re looking for a professional.

Yes, I whip up a mean cacio e pepe. But do I love going to restaurants? Absolutely. Would I presume to be as skilled as a dedicated chef? Absolutely not.
